Sound Designer - Audio Engineer - Music Producer - Innovator
A little info about me
I’m a 26 year old audio engineer from Port Saint Lucie FL. I have four years of work experience in various facets in the music industry from assisting in the studio, to creating soundscapes for movie trailers. My musical tastes is varied through the concept that all genres of music have an innate purpose to move their listeners. My background includes working independently as a freelance, mobile audio engineer as well as a hired audio engineer at multiple large format studios. My history of work within audio ranges from sound design for film to audio mixing and mastering for music. I am currently working as a sound designer for Liminal, a 3D based perspective, puzzle game made by indie game developer, Suspicious Box. I am currently composing the music for this game as well as providing auxiliary sound design in the form of providing foley for use in game. Project Threshold will be released on Steam to the public in Summer 2018.
My latest professional experience was as the 2017 Filmmaker-In-Residence at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. This 5 month teaching residency has been a great opportunity to teach the growing minds of talented high-school filmmakers the art of storytelling through sound design. Responsibilities include teaching one section of Production Workshop and one Post Production Elective through a custom curated lesson plan developed by myself. Topics included the fundamentals of sound, on set recording techniques, and all the way to 5.1 surround sound mixing. My responsibilities included mentorship as a weekly Thesis Advisor with oversight into student Thesis productions from script to screen. From 2015-2016, I attended and graduated the Berklee College of Music as a Graduate student for the Music Production, Technology, and Innovation program. I delved head first into the world of sound design and programming, further pushing my knowledge of music technology. I embrace technology and the possibilities it brings to the world of music, through sound design, growing knowledge of production technology, and integration of audio in game engines as well as in film and music production. While studying I was able to give back to the Berklee community as a Studio Graduate Assistant. Some key responsibilities included running and assisting in recording and mixing sessions as well as maintaining its scoring stage and project studio spaces.
